    strange, i really don't know what the problem could be

    do you use a russian XP version?

     

    i dont know where i shoiuld start looking for the keyboard problem

    hi!

     

    the complete LINUX Runtime-Library of Virtual Pascal is not very advanced and only does the most basic things

     

    i will have to invest some weeks as soon as possible to work out most of the problems that exist with the terminal (keyboard, mouse, screen)

     

    but i cannot promise anything big anytime soon, especially because the LINUX terminal stuff is very sophisticated (at least for me who is used to low lever DOS/WINDOWS code)

    Hi!

     

    as you can see from my todo list (end of ah_news.txt) there are a lot of bugs or new things i want to do with NDN

     

    and then there is the fact that i want to keep DPMI32/WIN32 and LINUX working, which also requires more work on new features/bug fixes than if i would just have to work on the W32 port f.ex.

     

    the bug report you've sent to me had some bugs that were easy to fix, so i did worked on them

    (which i unfortunately cannot do everytime with all bugs)

    sometimes i even get to learn new features of NDN i didn't know until a user tells me about its existence

    or i get new ideas for additions

    (like, LINUX f.ex. now also saves directories like W32 NT, although LINUX does not even have seperate drives, this feature was almost a simple copy of the WIN32 code to the LINUX plattform)

    thanks a lot for the nice words, it is always good to hear that

    i don't maintain the site though, this is done by the MUXE team

    (Denis aka Necromancer and Daniil)

     

    i guess NDN is not stable enough to be integrated into a distribution yet

    and, NDN seems not very known accross the net, at least a search

    for newer version links/reviews shows that

     

    i really look forward to work more on the LINUX port as NDN is still obviously

    more DOS/W32 oriented in many parts (file attributes, etc...)

    (i am still working on system independent problems,

    a look at the end of the ah_news.txt file in the archives gives an overview

    of what is to be done/planned)

     

    again, thank you :)

     

    and: im always open for comments, improvement ideas and bug reports

    even if they get posted repeatedly accidentely

    Hi!

     

    Although i like the idea of open source software we wont make NDN open source.

     

    i don't see the way NDN would take if anyone could dl the source and do with it what he/she wants.

     

    i also don't think NDN would have any advantages or better/faster development

    0. there is no up-to-date FAQ/DOC, i dont have time to write one

    1. what shadows do you mean? do you mean the color?

    2. all keys regarding ENTER are used already in NDN

    you can assign SHIFT+ENTER in OPTIONS.EXTENSION_FILE with this code:

    *( @start !.! )

    3.ouh, a little bug: write this *;*, apparently only the second mask is parsed correctly

    4.im not an expert with FILE EXTENSIONSm but i will try to explain it correctly

    ALT-S: sort by extension; [X] sort by group index

    OPTIONS.FILE_MANAGER.HIGHLIGHT_GROUPS

    give the EXE/ARCHIVE groups the smallest index values

    (>0)

    5. sorry, im no RegExp guru, maybe another user of the forum can help you?

    6.i dont know why always the root directory is shown

    it should work correctly

    1)

    yes, the clock isnt correctly set

    i will fix this now....done!

    2)

    look at AH_NEWS.TXT, at the bottom is a todo list, there i have written that the DOS BOX CLOSE doesnt work for W32

    problem is that i wasnt yet able to catch any messages to the window from inside NDN, so maybe this is not possible at all and i have to remove this option from the W32 versions

    a. i can resize it, no matter what!

    b. oh, you mean the different BG color in descriptions?

    5) UFF!!! sorry, in the beta upload i disabled that code because i tried around with it in LINUX and forgot to uncomment it again

    6) there is no possibility to set the mode from the ini

    all is saved in the .dsk file

    try this: Shift-F12 -> CTRL-INSERT -> write 120x55 -> F2 -> 120x55 from the list

    now it should work as you want

     

    btw, there is another problem with SHIFT-F12:

    RESET SCREEN MODES (F3) does/can hang up NDN

    i just discovered and fixed that
