HISTORIES resize by height

old style dialog

 

i can put buttons on top of history dialog this make possible to fit it by height

 

but dialog is shown not classic

Users want a quick search in this dialog!! ;)

 

Really, it's very annoying to search an item in a large history; a search (like in file panel by Alt) will be quite useful!

I think the resizing by height is not that useful.

i also think we can resize the dialog w/o placing the buttons to the top.

 

@Basil:

Quicksearch by file name only?

or complete path?

Filename only; I didn't answer too much time, I know :)

 

Now I see that NDN jumps between files which starts from pressed char - very good step to the feature requested ;)

I took this feature this from Windows I think...

It's really a long time since I added this.

 

It is a very good tradeoff between time to implement it and usage of the requested feature.

As it is it works in all history like list windows, not only the history,

without need to touch the code again.

 

The file panel quick search is pretty complicated.

If there's really a need for a more complex search operation please post again.
