Maybe add Ctrl-S hotkey to use this function on file panel?

(Ctrl-S -now is free)

hey garl

is this necessary?

is it often used?

if i am not mistaken, it is the same operation as copy just that always the file under the cursor is copied!

any other opinions?

what about shift f7?

in original DN(1.42) and DNOSP Shift-F7 it is Floppy Formatter

in NDN2.00 -2.11B3 it is Calendar

after 2.11B5 it is *FREE*

DN2 - Shift-F7 is *FREE*

i think we can use Shift-F7 , any ideas of other users?

i think that:

1. It`s important not to change keyboard shortcuts between versions, and Shift-F5 is now mapped to split/combine.

2. All operations referring to copy operation should be (*-)*-F5, move/rename (*-)*-F6, remove (*-)*-(F8/del). In NDN we have Shift-F8 mapped to remove single file.

So if you think 1 is more important than 2 Shift-F7 is a good idea.

But for me 2 is more important and i see that it should be Shift-F5 and split/combine - Shift-F7. It`s only an offer, it`s not even a wish.

P.S. NDN is great! Thank all programmers, bugfinders and other developers! Âñåì ñïàñèáî!

as I hardly use Split/Combine, I can learn new shortcut and I find Shift+F5 very intuitive, I vote for Shift+F5 for copy single file.

PS.: what about Rename single file? ;))

try SHIFT-F6 for Rename single :P

try

Options -> Configuration -> Interface... [X] Old style file renaming

and try shift+f6 again.

New quick rename can move file to other path (rename 1.dat to d:\123\2.dat is possible)

Old quick rename can not.

May will be more logically:

alt+f6 = quick rename (like in good old original DN)

Shift+f6 = rename/move dialog for one file?

???

v2.14.8168 DPMI32/W9x/LINUX 07-09-04

[*] Shift-F6 is now always FastRename (removed Reanimator) (Elfy)

Elfy, say please, for what we have 2 siplify hot keys for quick rename?

hi bmw!

good point

one thing is for sure, 2 assignments for same function will be removed ASAP

(there's a point for this on my todo list already)

so, hotkeys like Shift/Alt-F6, Alt-I or Ctrl-L, Alt-R or Ctrl-R will not exist anymore soon
