haman 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2005 Hi all, now I have latest (v2.15.4000) version and I have 1 wish to add to wishlist: I'm using windows cycling (Ctrl+Tab) to compare files (text, hex, anything). I open both files in view mode and then switch windows with Ctrl+Tab. but I need to close File Manager window because it always gets focus when cycling windows. it's annoying. the F9,Shift+F9 cycling is not good, because F9 is in middle of keyboard, i have right hand on cursor/PageDn/Up keys. I suggest to choose 1 of these: 1) implement Ctrl+Shift+Tab hotkey to make posibble to jump to PREVIOUS window.(Original Windows approach, for example FAR use that). 2) to make Ctrl+Tab more inteligent: pressing Ctrl+Tab 1st time - Previous window, holding Ctrl and then pressing Tab - next windows. ( Opera browser approach - try it! - no need to press Shift!! ) (although Opera handles also Shift ;) but I don't wanna go into details). I vote for option 2) . You can switch between last 2 windows with easy repeating Ctrl+Tab hotkey. and what you, other users, think about it ? vote in the poll! /haman
AngelsHolocaust 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2005 hi haman! this sounds like a bug or non-implemted feature to me (i use F9 usually...) i will implement the Ctrl-Shift-Tab key, because it is simply logical thanks Stefan / AH

dandv 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 I was an F9 fan from 1994 to around 2001, then I realized that Ctrl+Tab was more ergonomic, especially in the context of using Alt+Tab in Windows. PS: about time setting in Alt+E, yep, empty space should mean "keep existing time", just like in DNOSP.
