Alt+Q doesn't detect %NDNDIR%\ndn.smp being open

Recommended Posts

1. Confirmation -> Open New Window: Ask

2. Press F4 over the NDN.SMP file

3. Type something in the file

4. Press Alt+Q. A NEW Smartpad will be open

5. Type something in the smartpad and press Esc

You'll get an error that NDN can't write to the SMP file.

hi

this is because the SmartPad (Alt-Q) is a special instance of an editor window and there's no nice AND easy way of detecting if you have the actual smartpad file opened already

i realize that this is not foolproof, but changing/adding code just for this special case is not justifyable IMO :)
