Crimso 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2008 When I press Alt-F6 in File Manager I get a window "Quick file rename..." When I begin to type something sub-window with input history opens... and hide input line completely! I don't see what I am editing, and history window neither resizable nor movable :( Of course, I can close it with mouse, but this is not what I want :) And it not close when I press Esc - instead, whole "Quick file rename..." window closes. dandv 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2008 Yes, there are a few usability issue with all history windows: 1. in short dialog boxes (like Quick Rename), they cover the input line 2. line editing sort of breaks and you have to type blindly. Here's how to reproduce 2: 1. Go to C:\WINDOWS\ in one pane and to c:\temp in the other 2. In the Windows page, place the cursor on Explorer.exe, then press F5. 3. Press End, backspace, backspace, backspace... Notice how the cursor blinks a few spaces after the location it was suppose to be in.
AngelsHolocaust 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2008 Hi! THese are new history windows, like in several windos programs that open histories on the fly while typing. You can also turn these new histories off, but I tihnk it's quite useful. 1) Drawing over inputlines in small windows is on my todo list. (Not that easy to solve I fear) There's a solution for you: Hit the Ctrl or Alt button to close this enhanced history window. 2) This should be fixed since v2.31.1909. Please reply again if this is not the case. All the best, Stefan / AH
