some .exe/.bat files wont launch

Hi,

 

I am running ndn in Caldera OpenDOS. I have some .exe and .bat files that, when double clicked, do not execute. This also happens when typing the name on the command line. I get a "Command or filename not recognized" message. If I quit ndn, then these files run properly. One example is word.exe (Word 5.5) which for me is in C:\apps\word\. I cant see any pattern as to why some wont launch and some will.

 

Any ideas?

Hm, is "Command or filename not recognized" the official error from Caldera DOS?

 

You can try to lock NDN and look at some temporary BAT files in the temporary directory.

Maybe the problem can be located from those files.
